    Community Safety Policy

The Peptide Authority forum hosts user-generated content (UGC) about substances that are, in many cases, unlicensed in the UK or are prescription-only medicines (POMs). What community members post can materially affect other readers’ health and legal exposure. This page sets out what we do not allow, what we expect, and what we will remove on sight.

Content categories we remove on sight

    • Personal dosing recommendations directed at named users. Replies telling someone “take X mg of Y per week” or building a protocol for them are removed regardless of how qualified the poster claims to be.
    • Supplier endorsements (“buy from X”). Links to unlicensed sellers of POM substances (semaglutide, tirzepatide, growth-hormone analogues) or any “research peptide” retailer. The one disclosed commercial relationship the site operates is the Peptide Barn affiliate — community members may not promote any other supplier.
    • Instructions for evading regulatory or anti-doping controls. Methods of importing POMs around the MHRA personal-import rules, masking-agent advice for athletes, or workarounds for NHS prescribing criteria.
    • Encouragement of unsupervised POM use. Posts that describe how to obtain or self-administer Wegovy, Mounjaro, Saxenda, or compounded GLP-1 alternatives without a prescriber.
    • Content involving or directed at under-18s. No posts about peptide use in minors, including “asking for a friend” framings.
    • Medical advice masquerading as personal experience. Diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical predictions framed as “here’s what worked for me” in a way another reader could reasonably act on.
    • Counterfeit-product trade. Any post discussing buying or selling counterfeit semaglutide / tirzepatide pens, or any post that could route a reader toward a counterfeit supplier.

Disclaimers do not cure these issues

Adding “this is for research purposes only” or “not medical advice” to the bottom of a prohibited post does not make it allowed. The categories above are removed irrespective of framing because the harm to a reader (legal exposure, counterfeit exposure, dosing error) is independent of how the post is captioned.

    What we expect from members

    • Use the report flag. Every post has a report button. If a post matches any prohibited category above, report it rather than reply.
    • Report adverse events to the MHRA. If you are describing a real adverse reaction, please also report it to Yellow Card. The forum is not a substitute for the official UK adverse-event-reporting route.
    • Flag posts about counterfeit pens. Counterfeit GLP-1 pens are an active UK safety issue. If a post describes a pen that may be counterfeit, report it with a brief note so the moderation team can prioritise it and (where appropriate) link the user to the counterfeit-pen guide.
    • Keep claims proportionate to evidence. The forum is part of an education-and-risk-intelligence site. Posts that assert clinical effects without distinguishing licensed-medicine evidence from research-peptide preclinical literature are subject to edits or removal.

    UK-specific safeguards

    • POM substances (Wegovy / Ozempic / Mounjaro / Saxenda) require a UK prescriber. Discussions about obtaining or using these without one will be removed.
    • Athletes subject to WADA/UKAD rules are reminded that nearly all research peptides fall under S0 (non-approved substances) or S2 (peptide hormones / growth factors). The forum is not a TUE substitute; see athlete anti-doping risks.
    • Posts identifiable as paid promotion must be disclosed as such per ASA / CAP rules.
